Before setting up her own company, Alex spent 18 months working with Chelsea Flower Show gold medalist Jo Thompson, where she designed high-end residential gardens and public realm projects. She has also worked with leading landscape designer Anthony Paul and won a competition to redesign the grounds of the Royal Automobile Club in Surrey.

Alex studied the Part Time Diploma in Garden Design and won the school's coveted Planting Design Prize. Prior to her studies at Inchbald, Alex read Philosophy at Cambridge University and also holds a Masters degree in Scenographic Design from Trinity Laban.
